01 / The challenge

Hotels wanted non-contact check-in and booking, which meant reading passports and many national ID formats from across Southeast Asia from an image.

  • OCR endpoints on Google Vision that extract fields from passports, Singapore IDs and other national IDs in Southeast Asia.
  • Containerized deployment on Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
  • Ongoing maintenance and updates of the cloud application.
